Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality: Indian citizen
2. Residency: Permanent resident of Mizoram (or direct lineage descendants with valid proof like Electoral Roll/Birth Certificate)
3. Educational Qualification: HSLC (Matriculation / Class 10) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
4. Computer Proficiency: Minimum basic knowledge equivalent to Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) (80+ contact hours) or equivalent recognized course.
5. Mizo Language Proficiency: Qualifying test required unless Mizo was studied as a subject in HSLC or as an MIL in Class X or above.
6. Marital Status: Married candidates must not have more than one living spouse.

Age Limit (As of August 1, 2026)

1. General: 18 – 28 years (Born between Aug 1, 1998 and Aug 1, 2008)
2. OBC: 18 – 31 years (3 years relaxation)
3. SC / ST: 18 – 33 years (5 years relaxation)
4. Meritorious Sportspersons: Upper age limit relaxable up to 5 years (General) or 10 years (SC/ST)
5. Ex-Servicemen: Military service period deducted from actual age; resultant age must not exceed the max age limit by more than 3 years.

Physical Standards Test (PST)

(Note: No minimum weight requirement for female candidates.)

Selection Process

Selection consists of four stages:

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
2. Physical Endurance Run (Scored out of 50): 1.6 km for males (qualifying time: 8 mins); 1.0 km for females (qualifying time: 7 mins).
3. Qualifying Events (Pass/Fail): 100m Race (Male: $\le 15$s, Female: $\le 19$s), High Jump (Male: 3'6", Female: 2'8"), and Long Jump (Male: 12', Female: 7'3").
4. Physical Standard Test (PST): Qualifying measurement of height and chest.
5. Written Examination (OMR-Based MCQ):
6. Total Marks: 300 (100 Questions, 3 marks each)
7. Duration: 3 Hours (180 mins)
8. Language: English only
9. Syllabus: General English (25 Qs / 75 Marks), Mathematics (25 Qs / 75 Marks), General Knowledge (25 Qs / 75 Marks), Reasoning/IQ (15 Qs / 45 Marks), Computer Knowledge (10 Qs / 30 Marks).
10. Qualifying Marks: 40% (120 marks).
11. Personal Interview: 50 Marks (2x candidates per vacancy shortlisted based on written exam performance).

(Exemption: Candidates applying exclusively under the Meritorious Sportspersons category are exempt from the written examination; selection is based on a 100-mark Personal Interview alongside PET/PST qualifications.)

Calculated as a percentage of total written exam marks:

1. NCC 'A' Certificate: 1%
